SKATE WITH THE BULLDOGS UPDATE
THE GAME IS SUNDAY APRIL 4TH, DOORS OPEN AT 3PM FOR REGISTERING. ENTER THROUGH THE YORK ST DOORS. GAME STARTS AT 4PM. ALL TICKETS AND ITINERARY PACKAGES WILL BE AT THE DOOR WHEN YOU REGISTER. THEY WILL NOT HOLD TICKETS AT THE DOOR, SO WHOEVER IS GOING WITH YOU TO THE GAME HAS TO BE THERE WITH YOU WHEN YOU REGISTER. IF YOU NEED ANY FURTHER INFORMATION, CALL SHELLY AT 905 975-5118

General Meeting & Super Saturday

All parents should try to attend the General Meeting on Tuesday, March 23rd at 7pm in the back room to find out how the face of hockey is going to change in the next few years. Get involved and informed!

The end of the season is around the corner and plans are coming together for a great day! Invite your family and friends for a full day of exciting games, shoot outs, raffles, games and a barbecue. Other positions available and are appointed by the Executive

Information with respect to possible changes for the Hamilton Minor Hockey Associations for the upcoming 2010 – 2011 Hockey season will be on the agenda.

Other issues and or concerns relevant to Scott Park Community Hockey will also be discussed at this time. All Scott Park Community Hockey parents and members are encouraged to attend.

New Volunteers are Always Needed.

Fundraising Skate with the Bulldogs in support of Minor Hockey and the CNIB
Scott Park players are invited to join the Bulldogs for a fundraising skate on Sunday, April 4th at 4pm at Copps Coliseum. Skaters that raise $125 in pledges or more receive a replica jersey, a ticket to a Bulldogs’ game, and refreshments. Please see Shelly in the back room for further details and to register!

Meet Bruiser from the Hamilton Bulldogs!
Bruiser will be visiting Scott Park on Sunday, February 7th from 9am to 10am! He will be on the ice with the hockey school and visit with the Tykes in their dressing room.

Bulldogs Game

Hockey School kids will be on the ice at intermission at the Hamilton Bulldogs game on both Feb. 24 and Mar. 3.

Tickets: $15.00

NOTICE 2009-2010 Season NOTICE
Final date for all outstanding registration must be paid by January 24/2010 and if it is not paid will result in your child not participating with the hockey program until it is paid in full.

Super Saturday

Super saturday will take place on March 27, 2010.

BBQ, draws, raffles and schedules will be available shortly. Also, pre-registration will take place (min. $100 deposit) and is due at time of registration.

Fundraising News...

Thanks to all the players who worked hard to sell so many chocolates.

Jonathan Derouchie (Tyke) sold a total of 6 cases, the most cases sold!

And Kyle Robson (Hockey School; below) won the Nestle Draw!

Scott Park Juvenile's Win the APC!

Scott Park’s “Jack’s Juveniles” juvenile team won the Alliance Provincial Championship held in Brantford April3-5, 2008. The team went undefeated beating Brantford, Cambridge, Sarnia, & St. Catharines before beating Kitchener in the finals 3-2. This is the first House league provincial championship for Scott Park in many years. Walter Gretzky was on hand for the award presentation and team photo. Congratulations !

Scott Park alumni now a Buffalo Sabres prospect

Drew Schiestel, a product of Scott Park Community Hockey signed an NHL entry level contract with the Buffalo Sabres on the weekend. A second round draft pick of the Sabres in 2007, Drew signed a 3-year contract worth a minimum of $500,000 US plus a signing bonus.

Drew began playing hockey at Scott Park in our hockey school program and our pre-novice and novice program. He also played for Scott Park Atom team in the Hamilton City HUB league before moving on to the AAA level. He was drafted by the Niagara Ice Dogs of the OHL in 2005 and played 4 seasons with the team.

For the upcoming 09/10 season, we are introducing the Sign Up a Friend program. For each new registration that an existing member brings to Scott Park for the 09/10 season, they will receive a $25 rebate* off their own registration to a maximum of 6 new registrations per member**

That's a savings of up to $150 !!

*New hockey school registrations receive a $10 rebate
**The existing member's registration and the new registrations must be paid in full by October 31, 2009 in order to qualify.
